Greetings and Welcome to FFWorldz!
As a new member, we do require a few things before you jump right in and get started. First of all, you are to read the Site Rules and the Terms of Service.
READ THESE FIRST BEFORE CONTINUING ON! **Clicky links**
Sephy’s Site RulesTerms of ServiceNow, before you begin, please note that this is
NOT a video game, although we strive for members to experience the same sort of fun in the Final Fantasy theme of things. This site is based solely on your own imagination and creative writing. You will be interacting with other member’s characters through posting, as well as battles using your creations against other creations, using your writing skills.
It’s basic storytelling. The more effort you put forth, the more fun you will have as well as others.
HOW DOES IT WORK HERE?Characters level up here as in the games themselves. Everyone starts at the beginning and works their way up in strength/level just as in the games themselves. There are no exceptions to this, no matter what character you create. Even me, and I’m the bad-ass here.
Yet many RP sites level differently. Some by post count alone, some by how many fights and battles they participate and/or win. HERE, one’s level is based on points,
BUT, how you earn them, or the various amounts earned, defer in various ways.
Certain amounts are acquired in the Creations Section or the “Journal” Section.
Certain amounts are acquired just in basic RP’ing
Certain amounts are acquired in Advanced RP’ing
Certain amounts are acquired in Hunts ((as to those who are Clan Masters))
Certain amounts are acquired by Advertising the site or by recruiting new members.
Simply put, points are distributed in various amounts due to the various preferences people enjoy in the aspect of RP’ing, as well as the effort they put forth, instead of just ONE WAY alone to earn points. The points themselves simply represent what level your character is. Just as there are levels in the actual games. They represent nothing more. There is a chart in the Character Section that will show you the set levels.
THERE ARE NO STATS USED HEREThe arguments of stat usage have become intolerable. Even if you so choose to draw up your own stats for fun, do NOT expect anyone else to abide by them. We keep play as simple as possible here. People don’t join to have to wrack their brains with numbers and figures when they do that well enough in school or at work.
Basically,
FAIR PLAY = COMMON SENCE AND COMMON COURTESYSPELLING AND GRAMMARThe most important thing of all you do here. The site itself even provides Spell Check for you. USE it! When typing your post in the “Post Box”, misspelled words will automatically be underlined in red. Right click on the underlined word and a small screen of options for the correct spelling will come up for you. Simply Left click the correct spelling and it will automatically replace the misspelled word. OR, use your own “Word” program, but use the Word Check your program provides.
Describe your actions and use quotations when your character is speaking. You CAN even use different colors for speech text. But use the QUOTATIONS as well, please.
POST LENGTH: Although we do not force a length requirement, for the love of courtesy, PLEASE put some effort into it. 5 to 6 sentences is simply
unacceptable, nor are you giving those RP’ing with you anything to work with when they’re trying to come up with a reply post. So again, put EFFORT into your RP skills for the sake of common courtesy.
If you need assistance in RP skills, we have Mentors who can assist you.
Instructor LinkOOC ((Out of Character))/IC ((In Character)) Comments((OOC)) comments are very short comments when speaking out of character in a post at the very beginning, or at the very end of your post. Normally this is for brief communication between the users RP’ing in a thread together. Do NOT make a habit out of this as it gets rather annoying. Convert to PM’s, or to the Chat Box if further issues regarding thread events need to be discussed.
((IC)) is obviously when one is posting back In Character after an OOC comment is made.
GODMODDING, RHINOHIDING, and AUTO HITTINGGodmodding is outright outlandish actions stating the obvious term. No beheading, dismemberment, or killing of another character.

Zack Fair slices Sephiroth’s arms off with his Buster Sword** OR **Sephiroth slices Zack Fair’s head off with his Masamune |
No, I never actually tried that on anyone, as fun as it sounds and as predictable as it for my character to do….
Rhinohiding is when your dodging everything thrown at you, OR, taking no damage by anything thrown at you. Simply acting invincible is Rhinohiding.
Quote:
Yuna summons Ifrit against Seymour…. Seymour dodges all attacks and stands unharmed with a smile
If he actually did this, I’d ban him and his ugly hair for a week……
Auto Hitting is when you hit someone, without allowing them to react in any shape or form.... Or writing out multiple blows without giving your opponent the fair play to retaliate. This also means trying to re-write an action a member has already played out!

Genesis threw Cloud into the air, and appeared behind him, slamming him back to the ground, but before Cloud hits the ground, Genesis appeared again, hitting Cloud back into the air. He repeats this several times in a row, until Cloud was severely injured, and then fell into the stands.
As much as I would laugh my ass off at Genesis doing this to Cloud, this is NOT allowed…..
NOTE: Said characters here really do NOT do this. They’re simply used AS examples
AGAIN….FAIR PLAY = COMMON SENSE AND COMMON COURTESY
WHICH MEANS NO LOOPHOLING EITHER!
For the sake of MY sanity and YOUR existence here, DON'T DO IT!
I've grown sick and tired of my PM box filled with complaints over loopyhole creations, or members trying to justify RIDICULOUS loophole stunts in a fight/battle. Or the second I log into the chatbox, it's the first damn thing I hear about. DON'T LOOPHOLE $hit..... This ticts me off more than you can imagine, even though I really am a chillin kind of guy.
Controlling other People's Characters:
Please, don't try and control other people's characters! An EXAMPLE is given here:
Example:
Quote:
Sephiroth slammed Shade, who flew into the air and died because she hit a spike on the wall.
As much as I enjoy doing that, it's not allowed. Not only was that Controlling another person's Character, it was also Modding.
THIS IS OKAY:
Example:
Quote:
Sephiroth took Shade by the hand and threw her into the air, just as she was about to throw her fist directed toward his face.
That’s good, you're fine. Shade’s not.
Same with out of battle RP’ing. Do NOT control another’s character actions, or type what you want them to say!!
NO killing of other's characters
Sorry to all you cut throats out there striving to ruin someone's day, but KO'd ain't flying in this joint. Not after members put so much work and effort into a character and creations, only to have some ego maniac ((wait, that's me...)) come blazing in with their uberbonified max level just to snuff out the newbies for a laugh.
The ONLY time killing off another character is permitted is if consent is given by that user of the character.
Kapeesh?
(Private) & (PM to Join) THREADS
When the topic says: "PRIVATE" this mean those involved in the thread are most likely developing a plot/storyline between their members ONLY. You CAN NOT join unless you specifically ask the one who STARTED the thread in the first place. You may ask them for permission in the CB (Chatbox), or simply PM them. If you are told no, please don’t take it personally. But if you do barge in without permission, be warned….. Your post(s) WILL be deleted and you will be given a warning. Repeated offenses may lead to further disciplinary action by our friendly neighborhood Sephiroth… ((Yay that’s me!))
Thread activity MEGA NOTE:
Users are NOT allowed to participate in more than FIVE RPs at one time. That means if you're in seven different topics, you're wrong. Only members of the staff or certain veterans of the site HAVE permission to do so, which is mainly to help new members get started and on their way to getting established. If you are NOT one of the appointed to do so, simply don’t do it.
Regarding multiple accounts
We now allow each member two separate accounts.
Both may be custom characters (one Party Member to each)
One account may be a canon character, and the other a custom character (one Party Member to each)
Both may be canon characters, but under certain conditions. See to a staff member for details. (one Party Member to each)
NO CANON CHARACTERS are permitted to be Party Members
IF you so choose to want only ONE account, we will permit 2 Party Members to that account. Please inform the staff of your decision before making a second Party Member!!
CHANGING CHARACTERS:
Should you START with a custom character, and then wish to start over with a new, you MUST start over with a new CUSTOM character.
Should you START with a canon character, and then wish to start over new, you MUST start over with a new CUSTOM character.
Meaning, you better think long and hard. You get one shot at playing a Canon character, and that’s it.
