Fighting Style: Chrono is a long range fighter who lacks on physical strength but makes up for it with battlefield intellect. Assessing a situation is always a main priority when facing someone new. By taking the terrain of the area into consideration and attentively paying close attenstion to the opponent's battle habits he can set himself up with a fair stragety for his next and possibly future moves. With his long range fighting comes his combintion of elemented bullets and firearms as well as aid from the various summons he will learn as he is a summoner. Note though that he will never faulter or even show the tiniest of agression unless the situation calls for such attitude. AKA he needs to A) be in some kind of battle where he seriously can't come up with anything and therefore can't handle or B) have some kind of bribe pulling him into the battle that affects him personally.
Good Qualities: Chrono's long range fighting style proves useful enough as he has well set talent for firearms accuracy. Compared to many others who go all out with the sudden barrage of bullets he carefully but quickly sets the point of good aim and blows only the right amount of bullets at his opponent so as not to waste ammo. With that also comes a good level of strategic skills. While playing out in a battle Chrono uses his intellect to plan using both the terrain of the area and knowledge of the enemy to his advantage. He carefully and attentively watches his opponent for battle habits which will prove as a possible downfall to backfire on the opponent or perhaps a step to helping him plan his next few moves ahead.
Bad Qualities: Because of Chrono's lack in the physical aspect of strength it's hard for him to fight or even retaliate in any close range or hand to hand contact situation. He's strong but not strong enough to force someone down onto their backsides which is why he strives to keep as much space between him and his opponent as possible while keeping within an accurate firing distance. Along with the weakness of muscle he also shows clear signs of poor defensive manuevering meaning he doesn't do well when it comes to the task of deflecting another's attacks or taking a direct hit from an attack. His dodging on the other hand atleast is at a suitable enough level to keep him fairly safe most of the time.
Personality: Chrono is a man but a boy at heart. Anyone can be able to tell you that he's not all like he portrays himself to be at first glance. If you get to know him well enough you'll note that he is too nice for his own good. He is prone to showing mercy way too often when he shouldn't. Don't be fooled though, he does become serious when it is called for. Puts the protection of other before his own and always carries out a personal goal or mission to it's fullest extent. His patience comes in an extremely wide stretch meaning that he is not easily annoyed or angered by much unless involving something of personal emotional affect. Chrono does open quite easily to people and is simple to carry on with in conversation. He will always show an attempt of friendship or welcome to strangers unless he has a bad feeling about them already, they show obivious signs of not wanting welcome, or have given him a reason to distrust them. When something is bothering him it shows real clearly he will be agitated till the problems is resolved. He's always keeping the feelings of others around him in mind when making decisions. Even though it doesn't show with his apperance Chrono is a strong intellectual that oftens leaves his smarts for battles only. On the rare occassion that he does decided to use them outside the battle field it's been known to lead him in successful directions. He's got a keen knowledge of many subjects in the worlds, some useful and some just plan random and of no use. Also the boys creativeness and ideas are known to be on a large scale as well. He's always on the fast track to suggesting something to either help a situation in progress or to making life easier. Something along those lines. To sum up, has a serious hard exterior with a soft and friendly attitude on the inside. Knows his sense of duty and always is on alert for the well-being of the people around him. Calm and open with little worries in life except for doing his absolute best in training to be a high summoner.
Appearance: Chrono is a thin boy with a fair build weighing in at about 168ish and standing at a total of 5' 11". Both his hair and his eyes are a dark brown while his skin is lightly tanned. For his attire: overtopping all he wears is a two layer tan and white material cloak with a high neck collar that could cover the lower half of his face. In the front the cloak likes to open up slightly but it is held together losely by two leather straps buckled at the lower part of the neck collar. All around the outter edge of the cloak is white trim. A large orange wing like pattern can be found on each side of the cloak right near the bottom as well a smaller more darker brown version of the design can be found on each side of the chest. The top layer of the cloak flows down over the shoulders and stops just below the elbows. Going from there the second layer flows down and out and faintly touches the ground which means it tends to drag just a tiny bit. Looking underneath and from the top is a dark brown v-neck vest with a semi-high close fitting collar. It slightly tucks into his pants due to it's length. On the front is two long tan patches going straight down the chest and stomach and are evenly spaced from each other. Gloves are the next thing starting from his elbows and covering the whole hand the gloves are the exact same color as the vest. Each glove has three well-placed stell plates pinned onto the backside of the hands as well as a small plate attached to the thumbs. For the lower half is a pair of semi-baggy sweatpants type bottoms made of dark redish material. Each leg falls to full length and is tucked nicely into the boots on his feet. Each leg also has attached to it a sort of soft knee pad. They clearly stick out in a bright orange material with fours lines going horizontally across them in a sort of bend shape. The pants are well held up and together by a thick leather belt with an average silver metal buckle. Finally for proper footwear he sports a pair of black leather boots with a tan interior which splits and folds over at the top. The boot has a sole which is 2-2 1/2 inches from the ground. On the front of the boot, there is a small steel plate about one inch in height and three and a half to four inches in length. The plate is a fifth of an inch in width and it is screwed into the boot on each side as well as the middle. The back of the boot houses a similar plate that also has the three screws, only this one circles around the whole back of the boot, circling up a little to the sides.
History: Chrono James Cross was born in the New Yevonite City of Bevelle in the land of Spira on May 1st. One of two children belonging to a high class family of well known summoners. His parents were Luke James Cross and Misaki Lynn Omizu. In life he had one other sibling, a younger sister by the name of Kristen Elizabeth Cross. Growing up as a well pampered kid with almost everything that could satisfy his childish fantasies Chrono was adventurous and was also noticed to be always running around the grand city with the other commoners without a care in the world. He was never one to define between the classes. To be perfectly honest he could have cared less that he was higher in rank of society compared to that of his childhood friends. Constanly he would be scoulded by his parents to better behave himself and to act more like he was supposed to. He apparently needed to show his rightful place in the world but he always did believe that was a load of crap. So what if he had wealth and power! all he wanted was friends and good times. And that was his outlook on life right up untill his teenage years...
As he started to mature and evolve into a young man Chrono was slowly beginning to realize his position. He was the next in line to continue his family's summoner bloodline. It was his responsibility, his very duty to continue the age old professinal on which his family's roots was built upon. Which is why he soon enough began training in the Bevelle Temple as an Apprentice Summoner. Even though he did try his best he never did fully give up on free time outside the temple walls. He was still one for hanging with the gang and having good times but it was not too last. His foolishness was deemed unacceptable by his family. That his lack of focus and effort on becoming a summoner was shaming the family name. And it was with this that a decision was made. Chrono was eventually sent to the Temple of Djose to continue his Apprentice training away from the distractions of home. After a final farewell to everyone he set out to Djose...
Years passed and training went according to plan. Overtime he developed a fine work ethic. He knew where his priorities stood and what he had to do. He was beginning to morph into a well raised man with a hint of boyish charm. Not only that but he had persued other goals as well having not only trained himself in the summoner arts to a point but studying various topics and other things during the free time he had aquired every so often. He was well trained and ready with the IQ to match. On the day of his trial to become a full summoner Chrono entered alone with two basic pistols at his side and determination burning brightly in his eyes. He made it through with both much success and effort on his part. Entering the Chamber of Fayth he prayed with all heart and soul only to come out falling to his knees in a daze. And seconds later being joined by the other high summoners of the temple. In the next few moments Chrono's face had let through a brilliant smile of triumph as he raised his head and came back to his senses. He had done it, he had aquired the right of passage and was now a full summoner ready to set out on his pilgrimage...
Now Chrono has set out on his own with high expectation put on his shoulders. He has started on the first steps of his pilgrimage as a beginner New Yevonite Summoner of Bevelle or really Djose. He strives now to do his best while going through his journey to achieve High Summoner power and status.
